Herbal Eye Pillow

Ever have a sinus headache coming on and really need to take a time out, just to get yourself settled? I have just the thing! A small, light blocking eye pillow stuffed with herbs to help relieve sinus pressure and pain.

Start by getting two pieces of cotton cloth about 4 x 10 inches. Sew the bag together, leaving one short side open. Begin by mixing the spearmint, peppermint in a large bowl, using your hands to slightly crush the leaves. Add up to 5 drops of peppermint essential oil and mix thoroughly.

Add lavender buds, eucalyptus and flax seed. Mix to ensure that they are evenly distributed. Gently mix in the rosemary leaf, but be careful as the tips might be pointy.

If necessary, add additional peppermint essential oil, to scent, then stuff the eye pillow and sew closed. Your pillow is ready for use!

1 part dried spearmint leaves

1 part peppermint leaves

1 part whole lavender buds

1 part eucalyptus leaf

1 part rosemary leaf

5 drops peppermint essential oil

½ part flax seed
